Multiple Language Learners (ML)

Welcome to the ML Department!

All ML students take the yearly WIDA ACCESS (English Language Proficiency Assessment).  Once a student reaches proficiency, they are exited from the ML program.  In addition to the ML classes, students are also supported in their content classes through advocacy for inclusion, as well as, providing opportunities for additional help.

Gaining skills in reading, writing, listening and speaking in the English language is essential to successful learning and participation in ALL classes, school activities, and the school community. Fluency in English will allow students to fully participate in society, advocate for self and family, and provide greater opportunities for their future beyond high school.
