Student Job Search

Job Search Information

Mrs. Lipscomb can help you prepare a resume and letter of interest for your

employment application.

Unless a local company contacts EWHS, we do not research, nor do we post, part time jobs for high school students.

Students need to manage their own job search.

The Edmonds School District sponsored an Employment Fair in April of 2017 and we hope to do the same for the 2017-18 school year. We hosted more than 20 local businesses who had openings for part-time, summer, and full-time entry level positions.

Students should come prepared with their resumes. Some businesses did on-the-spot interviewing and hiring! Companies included: Fred Meyer, QFC, Panera Bread, O'Reilly Auto Parts, City of Mountlake Terrace, Pedalheads Bike Camp, Nordstrom, Taco Bell, AMC Theatres and more.

TEEN LABOR LAWS: Make sure you know your rights, hours of work and prohibited duties. http://

For a copy of the Parent/School Authorization Form. This form should be completed by the employer, and needs our Principal, Dr. Terrance Mims', signature: http://

A hard copy of this form is also available in the Counseling Department and the Career Center at EWHS.

- Many jobs for high school students are found via word-of-mouth. Utilize your friends and family to find out about local job openings. Talk to the managers at businesses and restaurants which you and your family frequent. Stop by and drop off your resume or letter of introduction. Many local small businesses do not post job openings - they wait for interested applicants to contact them!!
