EWHS College Application Campaign
 
Update: EWHS will once again participate in the College Application Campaign from October through November, 2019.
 
We will host a College Goal Washington event right here at EWHS, November 20, 2019. Seniors, We will have volunteers on hand to help you complete and file your FAFSA or WASFA. Volunteers will include Financial Aid Specialists from the college side as well as DREAMer experts for students needing to fill out the WASFA.            
The FAFSA and WASFA go live every year beginning October 1st.  Make sure you fill out the FAFSA or WASFA in order to make the financial aid deadlines for the colleges you are applying to.
 
 
 
 
The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) in partnership with Edmonds-Woodway High School, is pleased to announce October 1st through December 15, 2019 as the College Application Campaign.  Schools across the state will host events to assist students in the application process.  Our school will participate in the College Application Campaign effort, with the goal of ensuring that all members of our senior class have the opportunity to apply to at least one two-year or four-year college or university program for fall enrollment.
 
As part of the campaign, EWHS plans to host the following events in 2019:
 
College Rep Visits: we will host admissions reps from approximately 75 colleges in the fall. Most visits take place in the Career Center and generally last 30 minutes. Open to students in all grades. Sign up in Naviance Student and see the schedule of visits in Naviance student.  Visits start mid September.
Week of October 7th
:  Kick-off!    Seniors  receive a college planning guide in advisory.   Staff and students wear college gear to celebrate the kick-off.
November:  College Essay Workshops with a college admissions rep during both lunches in the Career Center. Bring a copy of your essay(s) for advice, or come and get help brainstorming essay ideas.  You do not need to be applying to the university sponsoring the workshop.  
Financial Aid Night: Keynote Speaker and one-on-one help for seniors to complete their FAFSA or WASFA. November 20, 2019.
Acing College Sessions: the Admissions Rep from Edmonds CC, Michelle Platt,  will be here one day each month during advisory (in the Career Center) and during both lunches (in the Cafe)  to answer questions about the application and financial aid process at Edmonds CC.
