EWHS now uses NAVIANCE as our main form of communication for college and career readiness.

All middle and high school students in the Edmonds School District have their own "Naviance Student" accounts. Parents can log in as a "guest" using the password: EWHSNaviance

* EW College Planning Night -Wednesday, October 24th, 2018,  5:30pm

* Seattle National College Fair at the Washington Convention Center, November 2 and 3rd, 2018 (Friday and Saturday).  Free event. Students should plan to visit on their own.

* EW Financial Aid Night - December 5th, 2018, 6:30pm. Featuring keynote speaker, Paula Bishop, CPA and College Financial Aid Advisor. Plus, seniors can get one-on-one help completing and submitting their FAFSA or WASFA.

* EW Parent University - date tbd (February)

* EW Lunchtime Career Fair- date tbd (January or February)

* ESD College Planning Night (breakout sessions only)- February 12th, 2018 at Meadowdale High School

If you are a College Rep, please visit Hobsons/Rep Visits  to sign up for a fall visit (mid September thru end of November)  and to book a table for the college fair portion of our College Planning Night on October 24, 2018.

College Rep Visits:

Many colleges send admissions representatives to EWHS to meet our students each fall. Students should sign up for visits using Naviance, or in the Career Center, and obtain a yellow Career Center Pass. Attendance will be taken at all visits.

The EWHS College Planning Night will take place on Wednesday, October 24th, 2018 at 5:30pm

The College Fair with reps from local, out of state and international colleges begins at 5:30pm and will end promptly at 7:00pm.

Tentative Schedule: At 7pm we will host break out sessions on college-readiness topics.  
7-8:30 pm: For seniors and their families in the Library.
7-8:30pm: For underclassmen and their families in the Theater.

College Application Campaign - October/November 2018

The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) in partnership with Edmonds-Woodway High School, will once again participate in the College Application Campaign. From mid October to mid November, high schools across the state host events to assist students in the application process. The goal of the campaign is to ensure that all members of our EWHS senior class have the opportunity to apply to at least one 2-year or 4-year college or university program.

EWHS is pleased to coordinate the following activities and events:

  • College Application/Essay Feedback Sessions with  Admissions Reps in the Career Center:  November 1st at 2pm, others tbd
  • College Representative Visits throughout the Campaign
  • EWHS College Planning Night - October 24th, 2018 from 5:30pm-8:00p
  • College Bound Scholarship Meeting for juniors and seniors  - November 13th 
  • Seattle College Fair Nov 2nd and 3rd (students should plan to visit on their own)
  • Visits from Edmonds CC during Advisory and Lunches, one time per month: Acing College Program

3) Search for national and state scholarships on www.fastweb.com and the www.thewashboard.org and www.goingmerry.org

Scholarships are listed on Naviance . Students can log in for scholarship information. Naviance log-in instructions are listed on the Financial Aid and Scholarships page. Family members can log in as a Guest using the password "EWHSNaviance"

Most of our local ESD and community scholarship applications will be made available beginning November. Most are due in the Spring. Seniors should plan to stop by the Career Center frequently in the Winter and Spring for the latest news on scholarships and for hard copies some of the applications. Prior to November and December, students can research State and National scholarships on Fastweb, The Washboard and other online databases. Students should also check the Financial Aid or Scholarship Page of the website of the College they are applying to. Make sure your college applications for specific colleges are submitted in time to be considered for scholarships.

EWHS Senior Scholarship Application EWHS Seniors should plan to fill out the purple EWHS Senior Scholarship Application and optional Financial Resources Supplement. It is available in the Document Resources section of Naviance. Hard copies are available in the Career Center. Complete and turn in to Mrs. Lipscomb in the Career Center. Our school is often asked to nominate students to apply for scholarships and we use these applications to create our pool of students for consideration.
