Update: EWHS will once again participate in the College Application Campaign from October through November, 2016.

 Our EW College Planning Night is scheduled for Monday, October 17th.  College Fair from 5:30-7:00 in the EW Gym, followed by Breakout Sessions from 7pm-8:30 pm. 

We have also scheduled a College Goal Washington event right here at EWHS for Wednesday evening, November 16th 6:30-8:00pm in the EW Library.  We will have volunteers on hand to help you complete and file your FAFSA or WASFA. Volunteers will include Financial Aid Specialists from the college side as well as DREMer experts for students needing to fill out the WASFA. The FAFSA and WASFA will go live this year beginning October 1st.

The Washington Student Achievement Council (WSAC) in partnership with Edmonds-Woodway High School, is pleased to announce October 1st through November 30th, 2016 as the College Application Campaign.  Throughout the month high schools across the state will host events to assist students in the application process.  Our school will participate in the College Application Campaign effort, with the goal of ensuring that all members of our senior class have the opportunity to apply to at least one two-year or four-year college or university program for fall enrollment.

As part of the campaign, EWHS hosted the following events:


Week of October 3rd:  Kick-off!    Seniors  receive a college planning guide in advisory.  Counselors visit senior English Classes.  Staff wear college gear to celebrate the kickoff.
October 21st: Seattle College Fair Field Trip. Open to all juniors and seniors.  Limited to the first 48 students to sign up. 
October 17th: EWHS College Planning Night.  5:30pm - 8:30 pm EWHS Gym.  For students and their families. This is a not-to-be-missed event!  More than 60 colleges and organizations will be present for our Open House College Fair in the gym from 5:30 to 7pm.  Free pizza will be provided.  From 7:00 to 8:30 attend break-out sessions on a variety of college topics including * Financial Aid and FAFSA 101 * The College Application and Essay * The College Bound Scholarship * College Myths and Realities * IB for All in English* 2-Year College Options and Running Start * Choosing the Right Fit College* SAT and ACT * Intro to Naviance and using eDocs to apply to college*   *University of Washington Admissions* and also Bienvenidos al College in Spanish.  You  may choose three (3) to attend.
November 8th:  College Essay Workshops with a college admissions rep during both lunches in the Career Center. Bring a copy of your essay(s) for advice, or come and get help brainstorming essay ideas.  You do not need to be applying to the university sponsoring the workshop.  
Wednesdays beginning mid October: Help sessions for applying to college using Naviance to order transcripts and letters of rec, and connecting with the Common App. 2-3pm in the Career Center.
Beginning early October: the Admissions Rep from Edmonds CC will be here most Tuesdays during both lunches to answer questions about the application and financial aid process at Edmonds CC, as well as questions regarding College in the High School, Running Start and Transfer Degrees.
