Dance Guest Policy

Any Edmonds-Woodway student wishing to bring a guest to an E-W sponsored dance must complete a guest pass request form. The form requires the approval of the guest’s school administrator as well as the signatures of both the student and the guest. One guest per student. Guests must not be older than 20 years old and must provide identification. No middle school guests. The request will then be reviewed by an E-W administrator.

The following must be agreed by all parties:

...Any guest of an EWHS student must observe all school rules and regulations. The guest must bring photo ID. EWHS administration has the right to deny guest access to the dance. Any student currently suspended or expelled from any public high school may not attend. Photo ID card will be held at the ticket entrance and returned when the guest leaves.

Students are required to wear clothing which is appropriate for a school environment. Dresses must be of modest cut and not reveal undergarments. Shirts must be long enough to reach the top of the beltline or waist. Students not adhering to the EWHS dress code may not be admitted or may be asked to leave.

Inappropriate dancing, such as “freak dancing,” will not be permitted. Students who engage in that behavior will be asked to leave.

“Request for Non-Student to Attend a Dance” forms are available in the EW ASB Office. They are typically available 2 weeks in advance and due 4 days prior to the dance.

A list of approved guest will be posted outside the EW ASB window by noon on the day prior to the dance.
